Documentaries are like the vegetables of the film world. You disliked them as a kid but love them the older you get.
Even people I don’t fuck with anymore, check up on me time to time, to see if I’m still on the right path, followed by “you’re almost there” and “how’s your mum?” The encouragement is always reciprocal. We’re way too old to hold grudges over old disputes. I want to see everyone I dreamt with, win.
